World Environment Day 2023

5 June 2023

As World Environment Day approaches it is important to reflect on how innovative technologies are playing a major role in protecting our planet. One such technology is atmospheric water generation which is helping to beat plastic pollution in a unique way.

Plastic Pollution

Plastic pollution is one of the most pressing environmental problems facing our world today. Every year, around 8 million tons of plastic waste end up in our oceans, where it harms marine life and ecosystems. Plastic waste continues to pile up, causing damage to the environment and human health, and is creating an urgent need for a solution.

One of the biggest contributors to plastic pollution is the use of single-use plastic water bottles. These bottles take hundreds of years to decompose and are often not disposed of. Many end up in our oceans and contributing to the already massive amounts of plastic waste.

Atmospheric Water Generation

Atmospheric Water Generation (AWG) is an innovative technology that converts the moisture in the air into clean, drinkable water. Our technology is particularly relevant in areas where traditional sources of water are scarce or contaminated. AWG is also helping to address the issue of plastic pollution in a unique way – by eliminating the need for single-use plastic water bottles.

With AWG, we can eliminate the need for plastic water bottles and reduce the amount of plastic pollution in our oceans. Instead of relying on bottled water, we can use atmospheric water generators, which produce around 10 to 75 litres of drinking water per day.

In addition to reducing plastic pollution, atmospheric water generation also has other environmental benefits. It can be linked with renewable sources, such as solar power, to operate, making it an eco-friendly alternative to traditional forms or water extraction. It also reduces the carbon footprint associated with transporting bottled water, as it can be generated on-site.

In conclusion, AWG is an innovative technology that is playing a vital role in addressing the issue of plastic pollution. By eliminating the need for plastic water bottles, this technology is helping to reduce the volume of plastic waste that ends up in our oceans. As we celebrate World Environment Day 2023, with the theme of #BeatPlasticPollution, it is important to continue supporting and promoting innovative technologies.
